OUR STORY

EVERY MOVEMENT BEGINS WITH A CONVERSATION.

AwareWalk began with one simple question:
What if one small visual cue could help prevent misunderstandings before they happen?

OUR STORY INTRO.png

IT STARTED WITH A WALK.

AwareWalk began with a simple conversation in a park.

During a walk, a chance conversation with the owner of a nervous dog highlighted something important: sometimes a dog just needs a little more space — but the people around them may not know it.

That conversation stayed with Gloria, and soon became a much bigger conversation between Gloria and her daughter Leanna.

Together, they began exploring a simple idea:

What if there were an easy visual signal that people could recognize before approaching?

The more they talked about it, the more they realized the opportunity went beyond something a dog could wear. The real opportunity was awareness — helping people understand the signal and know how to respond.

And that's where AwareWalk began.

FROM AN IDEA TO A MOVEMENT.

FROM AN IDEA TO A MOVEMENT.

What began as a way to help identify a dog that needs space quickly became something bigger.

A yellow bandana or ribbon can carry the signal — but the signal only works when people understand what it means.

That's why AwareWalk is as much about people as it is about dogs.

By helping families, dog owners, professionals and communities recognize yellow as a request for space, we hope a small visual cue can become a shared understanding.

The product carries the signal.
People give it meaning.

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.

AwareWalk is still growing, learning and evolving.

What began with one conversation has become an effort to make a simple idea more widely understood: when you see yellow, recognize the signal and give a little space.

We’re developing products, sharing information, listening to our community and looking for new ways to help the message reach more people.

But whatever AwareWalk becomes, the purpose remains the same:

Thank you for being part of the conversation.

SEE THE SIGNAL.

RESPECT THE SPACE.

CREATE SAFER WALKS.
